Inspired by the YouTube channels of Joel & Melanie Vlashof and Eric Maglio, who have posted really fantastic videos there, the idea came up in 2021 to design such a 3 Bearing Swifel Duct in CAD.

Those were also the first beginnings with my Ultimaker 2 . Because of work and family and not least all the other projects, I lacked the concentration to really complete the project, i.e. a flight-ready design. All parts can be produced using a laminate printer, but the associated electronics remained in the stage of a breadboard construction for commissioning. Last but not least, the Renesas controller used at the time could do with an upgrade to a current version.

But the project was fun, you could learn a lot and so it was definitely worth it.
